    All Conference Performers

    This past Friday our Eagles track and field teams traveled to Findlay for the conference championships. Several eagle athletes took home all-league honors. Placing third and earning honorable mention were; Cash Mahr in the discus, Justin Lajti in the shot put, Logan Davis in the pole vault, Makenna Langford in the 100-meter hurdles, Audrey Miller in the 400-meter dash, Jaelyn Rowe in the 200-meter dash, and Emma Martin in the high jump. Placing second and earning second team all-league honors were; Evan Harvey in the 300-meter hurdles, Derek Harmer in the High Jump, Emma Martin in the 100-meter hurdles, Makenna Langford in the 300-meter hurdles, Emily Schultz in the long jump and Carly Miller in the pole vault jumping 10' 6" placing second overall, in both divisions and tying the school record. Our girls 4 by 100-meter relay team of Kidd, Schultz, Muir and Vartorella and 4 by 200-meter team of Kidd, Rowe, Muir, and Langford also took home second team honors. The eagles had two individual conference champions in Barack James in the 110-meter hurdles and Ben Roberts in the 800-meter run. However, the night was capped off with conference champions in the final two events when the girls 4 by 400 relay team of Audrey Miller, Makenna Langford, Olivia Muir and Jaelyn Rowe along with the boys 4 by 400 relay team of Joey Yarrito, Ben Roberts, Jordan Williams and Brodie Csizmar ran away with first place.

    Top Eagle Invitational Placers

    This past Friday our boys track and field team put up 103 points to finish third in our own 43rd annual Eagle Invitational meet. Leading the team again was Ben Roberts placing first in 800 meter run and the 1 mile. Ben was also part of the 4 by 400 relay team accompanied by Joey Yarrito, Jordan Williams and Brodie Csizmar which took second place. Barack James placed first in the 110 meter hurdles and Derek Harmer hit his season PR of 6 feet two inches to place second in the high jump. The boys had two third place finishes which were Logan Davis in the pole vault and the 4 by 100 team of Antonio Gianino, Antony Aziz, Brayden Schultz and Evan Harvey. The Eagle track and field team travels to Findlay this Wednesday and Friday to compete in the conference championships.

    Saline Golden Triangle Top Placers

    Our Boys Track and field team traveled to Saline, Michigan this past Friday. Barack James finished second in the 110 meter hurdles. Ben Roberts finished third in the mile hitting a lifetime PR and seconds off the school record. He followed that up with a fifth place finish in the 800 meter run. Derek Harmer closed out our top placers by taking fourth in the high jump. Our Eagles travel to Perrysburg for a dual meet tomorrow before playing host in our Eagle Invitational this Friday.

    Brighton Invitational Top Placers

    The boys track and field team was lead by Ben Roberts Saturday at the Brighton Michigan Invitational. Ben competed in four events and Placed first in the 800 meter run and third in the mile. He was also the second leg of the 4 by 400 meter relay accompanied by teammates Joey Yarrito, Jordan Williams and Brodie Csizmar, which placed second. The 4 by 100 meter relay team of Gionino, Harmer, Medina and Harvey placed third. The 4 by 200 meter relay team of Stephens, Smith, Derr and Medina placed fourth. Evan Harvey took home a third place finish in the 300 meter hurdles and Derek Harmer placed second in the High Jump. The Eagles travel to Sylvania Tuesday to face Northview and Fremont.

    Lexington Invitational Boys Top Placers

    The boys track and field team were led by Ben Roberts Saturday at the Lexington Invitational. Ben competed in four events and placed first in the 800-meter run and the mile setting lifetime personal bests, in both events. He was also the second leg of the 4 by 400 accompanied by teammates Joey Yarrito, Brody Csizmar and Kayven Freyer which placed fourth. Barack James took home a second-place medal in the 110-meter hurdles and a third-place medal in 300 Meter hurdles. Logan Davis placed fourth in the pole vault hitting his lifetime PR and Derek Harmer placed fifth in the High Jump. The Eagles face Whitmer at home Tuesday.

    Today's JV boys track & field meet scheduled to be held at Whitmer High School has been cancelled, due to standing water in the throws and jumps areas.

    Liberty Benton Relays Boys Top Placers

    The Eagle Boys Track & Field Team had four top place finishers at last Friday's Liberty Benton Relays. They had 3 fourth place finishes; in the 4 by 1 mile with the team of Roberts, Reindel, Miller and Ketcham, in the 4 by 800 with the team of Roberts, Reindel, Yarrito and McCrory, and in the 4 by 400 with the team of Yarrito, Roberts, Csizmar and Williams. Taking first place honors with a near record breaking performance was the shuttle hurdles team of Harvey, Hazuda, Chamberlin and Barack. The team travels to Lexington this Saturday for their first invitational of the season.
