Oregon Resident Kindergarten Enrollment
The following information is for OREGON RESIDENTS ONLY. If you're looking for Open Enrollment for the 2025/26 school year it is closed at this time. For information about Open Enrollment in the 2026/27 school year, please contact Kris Schinharl @ 419-693-0661 ext 3301. Students who do not live in the Oregon City School District must apply for open enrollment and follow the open enrollment process.

In recent years, due to large kindergarten enrollment numbers, some students were place outside of their home school. Seats are filled based on the order the online enrollment is completed AND all required documentation has been received. It is important to schedule a meeting in February to submit all documentation.
- February 19th - Parent meeting in the cafeteria at Clay High School at 6:00 PM
- February 20- March 6 - Individual Parent Appointments for Enrollment. You will schedule a 20-minute appointment to submit all required documents and finalize your student’s enrollment. When you successfully complete online registration, you will be provided a link to schedule your appointment. This link will also be e-mailed to you as part of your enrollment confirmation.

New Student Enrollment Process
- Contact Kris Schinharl - 419-693-0661, ext 3301 for a link to start the registration process and information regarding the required documents to enroll.
- Complete the online registration.
- Once the online registration has been received you will receive an email confirmation containing details with the next steps to finalize your child's enrollment. Your child's enrollment is not considered complete until after all the required documentation has been submitted.
The following documents are required:
- Birth Certificate - copies are accepted, birth record is not acceptable
- Proof of Residency - You must provide two substantial proofs of residency in your name. To see a list of acceptable proofs of residency please CLICK HERE
- Custody Papers (if the child is NOT living with both biological parents listed on the birth certificate) - This must be an Entry of Judgement containing file/date stamp and signed by the judge or magistrate. This cannot be a notarized statement or agreement between parents/relatives/grandparents, etc. The entire court document must be submitted.
